Parish Episcopal School faced a familiar challenge: years of student foot traffic had left the carpeted staircases in one of their busiest areas worn down and stained. They wanted to preserve the look of carpeted stairs but needed a more durable, performance-focused solution that could handle daily use and still look sharp.
The existing stair carpet showed significant wear, especially on the treads of the nine steel staircases. Aesthetics mattered, but so did longevity and ease of maintenance. The school also needed the entire project completed quickly and with minimal disruption to operations.
Jenkins Contract Flooring recommended Mohawk Group New Basics III 26 BC399, a commercial-grade broadloom carpet engineered for heavy use. The new carpet was installed in a slightly darker shade with a more textured appearance, designed to hide wear and maintain a clean look longer.
